Waste not, want not.

It seemed more clear than ever this afternoon that Sam was not at all coming back, at the suggestion of Ali I decided to have another look around in Sam's now empty flat. It appears that the cleaners have been into the room to give it a final seeing to, it now smells of disinfectant instead of aftershave, though I am sure that the latter will be a far more pungent and long-lasting odour.

We really had a proper look round this time. Ali pulled out the drawers to have a look behind them. That sounds strange, but I found a partially completed cheque and income tax information booklet behind my drawers, Nick found a correspondance to the previous occupant who was studying Japanese and some of this guy's Japanese homework, he got 10 out of 15 and was marked down for not having a fluent hand writing style in Japanese characters.
We were rather surprised to find two CDs behind the drawers in Sam's room, both filled with porn. Upon the advice from Danny that Sam had taken his as-yet unnused kitchen utensils with him when he left I decided that I didn't want the rather fetching rug we found in his wardrobe to go to waste. Nothing quite like pillaging. We also found a can of shaving foam which had seen better days and a rather knackered looking aerial. The shaving foam stayed where it was but the aerial is now up on high in the corridor, kind of ironic putting an aerial where there is absolutely no reception huh?

So I now have two rugs in my room, which is more than enough. You need rugs when what passes for a carpet in this place would better serve as a doormat or a brilo pad or something. On other non-pillaging related news I have run out of food. I suppose I'll have to go shopping at some point, but there might still be a few tins I could use. Jeff did a good job of damaging my finances, I have of late been trying to buy as little food as possible to cut down on 'needless expenditure'. Actually, now I think about it, I've been spending quite a bit on various drinks, Strongbow is on offer at One-Stop and so are two litre bottles of Coca Cola. All the coke is gone though and all I have now is 4 litres of room temperature Strongbow and a bottle of Robinson's concentrate.

Extar, over, out.

TCP/IP, it's fucking me off. Other protocols doing little more. Definitely got worse. Now making me curse. Removing IPX. Will it ever work? Never!
